Message I have a '90 Z auto. Anyway after i drive the car for about 10 minutes, i start to hear this sorta whining sound, like air gushing out. The first 10 or so minutes everything is fine and the car runs great. Then after that, i hear this noise just when its about to shift. Im getting tired of it... its a pain... anyway the car also does not feel as strong.

Sounds to me like after the car warms up and the hoses expand you've got a leak of some kind somewhere. Stick your head under the hood after everythings warmed up and try to pinpoint where the sounds coming from.

(Embarassing) First thing is that i ran over some stupid plastic bags and they got stuck on the exhaust pipes(I Hate TrashTrucks!)... ive tried to get most of it off... but some of it just wont come off! Terrible smell too!! (LOL)

That sucks! At least it was just a trashbag and not a big peice of metal or something. It should all burn off fairly quickly.

So should i change the connecter?? how would i go about doing that because only thing that wrong with it is that it doesn't latch on to the air flow meter, and i believe that theres also some spring that attached to it thats probably lost.(Though I suspect this is not the problem to the noise)

The noise isn't coming from there. I think the only way you can replace that connector is to buy a new harness, which is a major PITA to replace w/o pulling the engine. You could also just splice a new wire in place of it, but that's more ghetto then what you've got probably. However, I've heard of several people making those clips out of paper clips and that should hold it on fine. It may be somewhat ghetto, but sometimes we have no choice. :)

Hope this helps!

Later,
